Me, oh my! This morning I woke up to farm sounds..... but I live in the city! Oh, no! I live in the city - that can't be a rooster! I ignored it. Totally in denial. So, I'm working in the garden trying to get control of the morning glory strangulation, when "Cock-a-doodle-do!" Over and over again. My beautiful Australorp is a freakin' rooster. Nooooooooo! I told her to keep it down, not that anyone around us would probably mind, but I could be fined for having a rooster. I called my farmer brother, Austin, and asked him if hens occasionally crowed, and he said, "No, sis. You have a rooster."
Anyone out there need a rooster? If not, he's finding a new home in Parowan, where he has his pick of the flock, but may face the perils of farm life and stranger surroundings :-( Too bad you can't eat what you name!
