I've heard it was springtime, but who can be sure. There are some tale-tell signs all around - my roses are finally starting to bloom and the Dutch Iris are peeping out of their wrappings. The peoney's are so beautiful, but they like the cooler weather. The back garden is mostly planted - we planted tomatoes on Mother's Day as usual but they haven't grown much. I planted a bunch of seeds the other day then it started to rain and hasn't been more than 65 degrees since then - don't know if they'll even germinate at all. I'm thinking the birds are really enjoying the strawberries and a lot of the other seeds.... I planted corn, beets, carrots, squash of different varieties, cucumbers, bell peppers and bought some jalapeno pepper plants but haven't been able to get those in the ground yet because of the bad weather. Perhaps tomorrow I'll ventue out - it's supposed to be 70. I think we're due for a heatwave!
