Well, Halloween is here again. I haven't always loved this holiday - kind of tried to be a good sport for the kids. Poor kids, never did have those wonderful costumes. We never really could afford the store-bought costumes when they were little, and I wasn't very creative. Ben really wanted to be dracula one year. I dyed black material and tried to make a cape, and we did the lipstick blood and slick-backed hair. HE was a good sport. For some reason, my memories of Halloween are very limited. Oh, there was the year Ben wanted to be the headless horseman - was that the same year as dracula? I think there was a pirate year in there. Girls, sorry.... I can't remember. The only one I can remember when I was little was Mini Mouse - probably because I have a picture of me and Mary Johnson out in the cold. That was the year it snowed at least a foot and we about froze to death trick-or-treating. One year when I was single I went to a dance and won a costume contest as a bag of jelly beans. It was pretty cute, and I was skinny. Wasn't easy to dance in that costume! I've tried to get into decorating the house with a few spooky things.

This year we made sugar cookies with Breanna, Anthony and Koree. It was messy, but we had fun. Hope you all have a fun Halloween!

mmmmmmm, those were some tasty cookies. I've always thought you were the coolest mom in the world for making my costumes. I remember the clown costume specifically. Very cool. I think it was during that project you taught me to sew. See, it was all worth it :)
